Sisip Privacy Policy
Sisip provides contextual language learning without accounts, advertising, analytics, or an external translation service. Page text and learning data remain on your device.
Information Sisip handles
Sisip processes eligible webpage text when you activate it or enable automatic mode. Chrome stores your language and slider choices, automatic-mode preference, excluded websites, cached translations, exposure counts, encountered words, known-word choices, and whether introductory guidance has been shown.
How information is used
Eligible webpage text is used only to create the contextual translations you request. Locally stored settings and progress are used only to operate Sisip and remember your choices.
Local processing and transmission
Sisip does not transmit webpage text, browsing history, settings, learning progress, or personal information to Sisip, ACAS, advertising networks, analytics providers, or third-party translation servers. Translation uses included local curriculum data or Chrome's on-device translation capabilities. Chrome may download language models under Google's terms.
Sensitive content and exclusions
Sisip skips form fields, editable text, code, images, PDFs, canvas content, and recognized payment or banking pages. You can exclude any website in Advanced settings. Sisip cannot identify every sensitive page, so leave it off on confidential websites.
Sharing and sale
Sisip does not sell, rent, license, disclose, or share user data. It does not use data for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or unrelated purposes.
Retention and deletion
Data remains in Chrome's local extension storage until you reset Sisip, clear its storage, or remove the extension. Use Advanced settings → Reset settings and learning progress to delete it.
Children and changes
Sisip is not directed specifically to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Material policy changes will receive a new effective date.
